1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or signing in to Owy ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
2. The Service
Owy is a tool that helps individuals and teams track installment loans, lenders, and related financial information within shared workspaces. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice — anything you record in Owy is for your own tracking and reference.
3. Your Account
You sign in to Owy using a third-party identity provider (Google, Facebook, or Apple). You are responsible for keeping your linked account secure. You must:
- Provide accurate information when signing in.
- Be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- Not share your account or let others access it on your behalf.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Workspaces and Members
You can create workspaces and invite others as members. Workspace owners and admins control who has access and what each member can do. By inviting someone, you confirm you have the right to share the workspace's data with them. You are responsible for the actions of members you grant access to.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the data you put into Owy (loans, lenders, terms, notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that data so we can operate the Service for you and your workspace members. We do not sell your data.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal or fraudulent.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Send automated traffic or scrape data outside of normal use.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
Owy relies on third-party providers for sign-in (Google, Facebook, Apple) and infrastructure. Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or policies of those providers.
8. AI Assistant (Olly)
Owy provides an optional AI assistant, "Olly," that generates answers about your workspace data using a third-party AI service (Google Gemini).
AI-generated, may be inaccurate. Olly's answers are produced by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Olly is a convenience tool, not a substitute for reviewing your own records. You should not rely on Olly's answers alone when making financial decisions, and Owy is not a financial, legal, or tax advisor. Always verify important figures against your actual loan records.
Read-only. Olly cannot make changes to your account; it can only read your data to answer questions.
Availability. Access to Olly requires an active paid or trial subscription and is subject to usage limits. We may change, limit, or discontinue the assistant at any time.
9. Service Changes and Availability
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we are required to by law. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You use the Service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Owy and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
12. Termination
You can stop using Owy at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
